Julie Briggs B.Bus(CSU), M.B.A.(CSU), LLB(Hons)(UNE),LLM (Leg Prac) (ANU)
The principal of Julie Briggs Management Services (JBMS), Julie holds a distinction level MBA in International Business, an Honours degree in law and a Master of Laws (Leg Prac).
Julie has worked closely with business and government for fifteen years, initially as Manager of the Wagga Wagga Chamber of Commerce, then as Executive Officer of the Wagga Wagga Business Enterprise Centre. In the latter role Julie assisted thousands of business and prospective business people to explore their business ideas, develop business plans and establish businesses throughout the Riverina region.
In late 1997 JBMS was contracted by the Riverina Eastern Regional Organisation of Councils to provide project management services to the Organisation. A voluntary association of 15 Local Governments located in the eastern Riverina region of NSW, Julie's main role is to identify, initiate and implement resource sharing projects for REROC. The primary purpose of REROC is to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of local government through the creation of resource sharing opportunities utilising economies of scale and shared corporate knowledge. In the last 10 years those activities have implemented efficiencies that have generated savings in excess of $17 million for REROC members.
Julie has a strong background in strategic planning and business planning. Recently completing corporate plans for Bland Shire Council and Goldenfields Water County Council as well as completing an audit of facilities and services across the Albury-Wodonga ACC region which the led to the preparation of an action plan for the 10 councils involved.
As Executive Officer of the Wagga Wagga BEC Julie prepared business studies for the business incubators that were established by that Organisation as well as working on the feasibility studies for a Heavy Vehicle Driver Training Facility and a Technology Park.
Julie was recently profiled on the cover of Wagga Business Magazine.
Tracey Cornell B. Bus (CSU)
Tracey Cornell has been providing broad-based project administration support with JBMS for ten years and in this role provides all the financial administration for both REROC and JBMS.
Tracey is responsible for the management of the REROC Waste Forum and is REROC�s representative on Renew NSW.
Tracey has worked on all the major projects JBMS has been involved in including the development of business plans for a number of Rural Transaction Centres, corporate business plans for local government and federal agencies and work developing projects under the Main Street Programme.
Tracey previously worked with the Wagga Wagga Business Enterprise Centre and has experience in both the preparation and assessment of business plans. She has also been involved as a trainer with the New Enterprise Incentive Scheme, where she provided training to small business people in marketing and finance.
Michael McCauley
Michael joined the JBMS team in 2006 his primary role is acting as Business Manager for REROC. In this role Michael is responsible for managing the large grant projects which JBMS has secured for REROC. This includes a $1.9 million grant for WaterSmart project which will result in 23 urban water projects being implemented in the eastern Riverina over a 3 year period and a $2.6 million grant from the Federal Government's Regional and Local Community Infrastructure project which will result in the construction of 12 new community facilities in the region.
Michael has worked in Local Government for 15 years having previously been employed in corporate services at Wagga Wagga City Council and Dubbo City Council. Michael brings a wealth of knowledge about Local Government operations to our team.
Colleen Shaw M.B.A. (CSU)
Colleen works on a part-time basis providing general assistance with projects undertaken by JBMS as well as implementing specific projects in her own right.
Colleen's primary area of responsibility is the management of REROC's Professional Placements' Program.
Colleen, as a former senior administrator with Charles Sturt University (CSU), brings substantial administrative experience and project management experience to her roles with JBMS.
In her previous role with CSU, Colleen was responsible for the management, design production and distribution of study materials for the University�s 30,000 external students. She brings to her role high level skills in quality assurance, data management, and the production of written materials to support learning.
Belinda Parker
Belinda has been with JBMS for almost seven years and provides general secretarial support for all the projects that the firm undertakes.
Belinda assists in the provision of community and small business targeted projects. She constructs databases and spreadsheets that support the research work that JBMS undertakes on a regular basis.
Chrissie Brunskill
Chrissie provides support for our social marketing projects, primarily in the areas of waste and environmental education. She provides research skills and undertakes face-to-face promotional work with businesses and the community.
She has previously worked on the Riverina It�s a Living Thing project, the REROC Paper Chase and Bagged! projects. She has previously been involved in phone-based marketing surveys targeting both business and community.
